Okay I suck . . .

Obviously I am not good at this blog thing since i haven't posted in so long. So much has changed for those of who are still bothering to check and haven't given up on me yet . . .Christine are you out there?
Conor is now 6 months old!! I can't believe it!! Of course he is absolutely adorable. He is rolling over in both directions and that is current his favorite form of travel. I can no longer put him down with a toy and walk out of the room. Oh no no no, because by rolling over Conor can now completely change his location in the blink of an eye!! He is also babbling like crazy. I enjoy his stories but he needs to take a lesson from his father and "make a long story short." There is only so long the mommy can say "no way? really? your kidding?" and on and on and on.

Bart also has left Country Insurance and will be moving to a management position with New York Life. We are both nervous and excited about this change. Actually Bart is more nervous, i am excited. Bart wanted a management position where he wouldn't have to relocate and Country did not have those opportunities there so he decided to move on. I know he will be successful at anything he does because he is just the type of person.

Tommorrow is Conor's first Halloween & Sotera's!! Oh that's right my little baby sister moved in with us in August. She is here going to school and figuring things out. She is a bit homesick but eager to see what the future holds for her.

I'll post more often . . .I swear!!

Happy 4th!

This weekend I went back home for my cousin Nicholas's wedding. Bart stayed home with Conor since it was going to be such a short trip. I had so much fun! I saw a lot of family that I haven't seen in a long time. The wedding was beautiful and the reception was fun. It was a cash bar so it was the first time I have ever tail-gated in the parking lot before the wedding--Hey it wasn't just me! My cousin Nick married his girlfriend Jen, they are really fun together. Congatulaions Nick and Jen!!

I also got to meet my new nephew Noah. He is soooo cute and I wish I would have had more time to spend with him. My brother Dominic is an amazing dad, but of course that is no surprise to me;)

Unfortunately though I missed Conor's first 4th of July. Bart says he loved the fireworks and didn't get scared at all by the big booms. It was hard for me to leave Conor, if only for a few days, but he looks like he was ejoying himself!

It Finally Happened

Conor slept thru the night!! He fell asleep at 8pm and didn't wake up until 6:45 this morning!! Ofcourse I didn't get any sleep because I had to keep sneaking into his room to make sure he was still breathing and then lie in bed thinking he was going to wake up any minute. I hope this isn't a fluke!

Happy Anniversary!

This weekend Bart and I celebrated our five year anniversary. It's hard to believe that five years has gone by in a flash.
We celebrated by attending the Cubs vs. White Sox game at U.S. Cellular Field. Although the Cubs lost 5 to 6 we had so much fun and drank too much beer! After the game we went to a local pub where we met Fat Pat. Fat Pat tried to convince us that he had a Joe Crede signed baseball. Bart informed Fat Pat that he doubts Joe Crede would sign a baseball in blue ball point pen. After a few beers Fat Pat admitted that he had signed the baseball and was going to try to sell it to unsuspecting fans . . .as it turns out the first people he approached were Cubs fans (as clearly indicated by the hat Bart was wearing . . .duh!). We kept the ball so we would have a good story to tell!

For sale . . .

Today we had a joint garage sale with our neighbors Tony and Megan. Bart and I made $12.25 but ended up trading some things with Tony and Megan. You just know a garage sale is bad when you actually shop at your own:) Conor slept thru almost the entire day. He missed all (which was very little) excitement. All in all it was a fun day spent outside with the nieghbors.

We also got a ne nephew today. Bart's sister delivered Payton Eric this morning. He is 6 lbs 10 oz. Bart, Conor and I will be driving up to madison to see the new little tike tomorrow morning. It will fun to see Conor next to a newborn that was almost his size when he was born. Then we can really see how much he has grown.

Congratulations Heather and Chris!

Welcome to the World

This past April we welcomed our first child. Conor Reid William Warren was born on 4/17 and wieghed 6 lbs 4 oz, he was 19.5" long.

Bart and I ofcourse were shocked that he came 3 weeks early but excited nonetheless. We couldn't wait to meet our son.

This past weekend we celebrated Bart's first Father's Day and Grandpa Fred's and Grandma Heidi's. The rain held out just long enough to go swimming for the first time this year.

Conor turned 2 months old officially on Tuesday. I can't believe it! He has started smiling spontaneously and just today started babbling like crazy!

He had his 2 month check up today and weighed in at 11 lbs 4 oz and 22.5" long!! I almost fell off my chair, I can't beleive he has gotten so big! He is now in the 50th percentile for height and weight and the doctor said he should be rolling over any day now.

We are official!

Hi!
Welcome to the Warren Family blog! I have enjoyed other blogs so much that I decided to start my own. I'll try to post as often as possible though I admit that I am not the most computer savvy so please be patient.
